How are the Reading Room materials accessible?

The Reading Room materials are divided into distinct collections, depending on their use, form and subject matter.

The details of their location and manner of use can be found in the online catalogue accessed from the Library's website.

If the catalogue description says:

  • Reading Room - free access
    - this means that a given item is kept on the bookshelves in the Reading Room and is directly accessible,
    - you have to locate a publication yourself and after use put it back on the trolleys designated for a given collection,
  • Depository - Books Reading Room, Depository - complete the request form
    - this means that a given item is kept in the Reading Room depository. To use it you need to order a copy with the librarian on duty,
    - you will receive the requested publication immediately upon placing the order,

  • Depository - delivered on the next day - complete the request form
    - this means that a given item is kept in the Reading Room depository. To use it you need to order a copy with the librarian on duty,
    - you will receive the requested publication the day after placing the order, due to a different (offsite) location of the depository.
